About Me

Hello and welcome! I am Kristy. I'm delighted you are visiting my site. Please allow to tell you a bit more about myself. I have a heart full of passion and after a decade-long journey in education, I've dedicated myself to opening a small private practice. My adventure began at the Winnipeg Expressive Arts Therapy Institute where I nurtured my ability to connect and inspire through the arts. As a graduate of the institute, I've embraced the profound impact of creative expression on emotional well-being, and I'm here to guide you through your unique journey of self-discovery and healing.

For over a decade, I've served as an educator, fostering growth and confidence in my students. My experiences in education informs my practice in expressive arts therapy. It's through the synergy of education and therapeutic practice that I've come to understand the influence of creative expression on our psyche and how it can be harnessed for personal growth.

Outside of the office, you'll often find me with my three young daughters. As a mother, I understand the delicate balance of nurturing creativity and providing a safe space for emotional expression. Our family's love for community binds us together, and it's through these shared experiences that I witness the magic of the arts in fostering connection.

My commitment to community doesn't end there. I'm an active member of my local neighborhood community theatre and choir groups, engaging with fellow enthusiasts to promote artistic expression and collective well-being. Through collaboration and community events, I strive to create spaces where creativity flourishes and individuals find comfort in self-expression.

Here at Northern Insights, I extend my hand to you, inviting you to embark on a journey of discovery, healing, and growth. Whether you're seeking to channel your emotions, overcome personal obstacles, or simply connect with your inner self, I'm here to support you every step of the way.

Warmly,

Kristy
